What We Do

DCDC is the economic development entity that serves Decatur County, Iowa. Our role is to inspire economic growth among the businesses and community members that thrive here. We aim to encourage economic development to support five specific purposes:

  1. Provision resources and consultation services for businesses and entrepreneurs
  2. Promote county-wide job creation
  3. Enhance economic assets throughout the county
  4. Promote quality housing infrastructure
  5. Advance tourism and recreation into local businesses and organization

Decatur County, Iowa is located adjacent to the Iowa-Missouri border in the South-Central part of the State. Interstate – 35 passes through the center of the County. State Highway 2 cuts across East to West, and U.S. Highway 69 swings through North to South. The list below shows the approximate distances between Decatur County and large, metropolitan areas.
